Science
We will be using the FOSS (Full Option Science System) curriculum, which is a research-based science curriculum that incorporates research and practice by providing tools and strategies to engage students in hands-on experiences that lead to a deeper understanding of real world problems. The three modules we will be studying are:
Energy
Students study electricity and and magnetism and explore energy transfer through waves.
Landforms
Students learn about soils, rocks and landforms and using tools such as topographic maps and stream tables to study changes to rocks and landforms at Earth’s surface.
Environments
Students study of the structures and behaviors of organisms and the relationships between an organism and its environment.
